we are all packed up and ready for our detroit trip, we are leaving tonite after work. it will be the first time that we have seen mjk's family since our engagement. I think i will get my ring polished up for the event! i have launched back into wedding planning mode and have been busy calling churches ( something i never thought i would do!), making appointments and scanning the wedding magazines for ideas. I even went to my first wedding store but was completely overwhelmed by the amount of "stuff" that they had that i didnt know i needed and am still wondering why people would buy. Over the top ring bearing pillows, ornately plumed guest book pens w/ stand, official bridal shower card games....the list goes on!. They did have some really interesting stuff i guess it was just a bad first stop for me. Anyway, i finally started to transfer all of our favorite songs from cd to our computer so that i can start making playlist for the reception. That was fun. Also, i got to meet up with bws for lunch (the first since my return) and she brought along here own wedding album!
